Yes, 'our' Mum has got it but I honestly believe that the root is how you choose to deal with it.
If you wish to do the 'man flu' thing and wallow in it then ok, but you'll be unhappy and things will be much worse. But then again, you could do it our Mums way and just crack on and deal with it. Honest to god, she goes to work and when she gets off the bus in Leeds I would challenge almost anyone to try to keep up with her - I have a right job and have to keep asking her to slow down! And she does have it quite severe now along with diabetes and a host of other nasty conditions (there's not much hope for Katherine and I is there!!) but she battles on. She's like speedy gonzales and refuses to be treated like an invalid. Her motto seems to be 'if you can try to do it yourself then keep at it, once someone has to help you, you've lost the battle'. She recently got sent to Occupational Health and also to see about gadgets to help her round the house - and she's not impressed!!

Don't think the worst and don't let people frighten you, everyone is different and everyone chooses to deal with things in different ways but if anything horrible ever happened to me then I would take a leaf out of our Mums book.

Certainly not going to do the 'Man flu thing' thats for sure, SWMBO keeps telling me to slow down and rest but I get sooooo annoyed at having to stop and rest even if thats what the Doc says I need to sometimes. It hurts like crazy most of the time but its a case of work through it.

I don't want to give up diving so I suppose thats why I posted the question, indicators and advice received so far show I can carry on until its too painful/ going to endanger a buddy I cannot help in a situation.
