Thumbs up

Just as an aside, and an update to this, I would like to post something and give some very big credit where it is due.

After bouncing around phone calls to every Doctor in the Midlands, and DiveMaster, to keep getting alternative ones, I eventually rang Divemaster back and they referred me to DDRC to see if there was anything they could do to help, being experts.

End result, is that Divemaster have faxed all my paperwork through to DDRC, and I have posted down a BSAC style self-cert form, and a cheque for a tenner, and they appear to be happy to act as referee for me, which means that subject to my self cert getting stamped OK, they will fax it back to Divemaster who will in turn send me my currently on hold diving cover.

That, I think is great service, and good co-operation between DDRC and the insurance company.

Just wanted to share, as I am always willing to complain on YD about poor service, so I also like to give credit.

i have just gone with Divemaster too as they have been great during the whole PFO/arrythmia etc etc etc process, and always been "yep, we'll cover you if the doctor says its fine" - and with me again they said i could self cert and get it endorsed by Dr Wilmshurst and that was fine! not had to claim yet tho...

Had to have a full medical for the dive centre tho...
