post DCS II check-up

I was wondering what the Dr. checks for in a post DCS II check-up to certify you fit to dive. I have a check up coming up and was curious.
Thanks, Leila

My post re-comp. assessment comprised a brief chat and a repeat of the standard neuro test. 10 mins and it's all done.

It all depends!
If the bend was relatively straight forward, a full recovery has been made and the doctor doing the assessment has access to all the details of the case then assessment in someone who can normally self certify is simple and should concentrate on the neurological examination and any required follow up such as checking for pfo, lung disease etc.
Also advice on safely getting back in the water with build up dives etc.
If there are residual symptoms then things become more complicated and an individual approach is taken.
Good luck.

Hi Leila,

My Doctor wants to see a CT scan of my chest and an MRI of my spine before he will sign my ticket

Cheers
