Ginseng and diving

Just wondering if their would be any benefit in the use of ginseng based herbal supplements when diving to extend concentration spans and increase alertness.

I recently had the good fortune to come across a stack of some some red kooga ginseng pills which i've used on very long drives and while doing mathematics to good effect. They seem to amp up alertness and concentration span when doing monotonous tasks (not that im saying diving is monotonous), and have only really used them once while diving although the effect underwater was brilliant (not in a drugged out way, although some may assume it due to the fact i actually had a level of concentration that i dont usually have while diving).

Since diving and caffeine is usually a no-no due to dehydration issues, i've considered these as possibly an alternative. They seem to have the same effect but without the need to urinate on a frequent basis. Coupled with my usual excess water consumption before the dive im assuming they could improve my diving a little.

The thing i need to know is if their are any reasons why i should avoid using them while diving. Like if people have died or blacked out on them while underwater. Stuff like this is the information im looking for.

P.S. For those who have sexual drive on the brain, try them also for that, you can certainly go longer with them, sort of like natures viagra, but without the hardon for 2 days.

Advice graciously received, if offered.

Ginseng

I'm no expert on this but I know there are many different kinds of Ginseng with very varying effects and also that different people react differently to it.My own experiences suggest it has some psychotropic effects,it might have made me think clearly but it also left a rather unnerving mild 'high' for a few hours after drinking Ginseng Tea..I am really not sure that diving and this stuff really go together.
