Surface interval before 500m climb.

I have the opportunity to use a property near some reasonable, not too cold diving, O.K. Madeira. The only thing is the property is 500m. above sea level. So my question is how long should I stay near sea level after the second dive of the day. I don't exceed 30m and just dive air.

Many thanks,

David.

You need to check some dive tables.

I have my bsac 88's here, and given the profile of one dive to 30m for 20mins (exit tissue code F), surface interval of 1.5-4 hrs (drops you to a C code), then shallow dive to say a max of 15m for 24mins (exit tissue code F), surface interval of say 2 hrs (drops back to a C), then transfer to table 2 equals a D. SO yeh theoretically you could do a profile like that and be ok. But it doesnt take into account atmospheric pressures and such. All dives would be no stop dives as well, no deco. Adding deco makes tissue codes go to G and you really need your own tables to plan that type of diving.

Get yourself a set of tables from someone is my best advice.
