| If you are "not sure" then you have a suspected bend, simple. So put them on O2 and call for proper advice.

| There's sometimes reluctance to put people on oxygen. It's as if it somehow 'reclassifies' an iffy occurance into a scary full blown incident. I've seen this more than once over the years. Believe me it's not a good idea to wait or 'test' the casualty with nitrox. A suspected bend is a bend until categorically proven otherwise and needs that oxygen without delay. Hope that helps.
