Talking PFO test & the best £300 I've spent

Went to Bristol Royal Infirmary yesterday to see Dr Mark Turner for a PFO test ,my ears still hurt from the hardest Valsalva's I've ever done !
The reason to go for the test was 2 unexplained bends & according to 2 specialists the symptoms pointed towards a PFO ie suffer from migranes etc . Very thorough examination & test , with every step explained .SWMBO was with me & was invited in to watch the examination as well ,which I think is important ,not that any of us macho divers would even think of under playing any of the results just to go diving
I would thoroughly recommend Mark & his assistant Martin .It is totally painless the only discomfort being the force & duration of the Valsalva's you perform !in all honesty if you had to try that hard to equalise you shouldn't even be diving .
Total cost was £300 which by todays standards in very resonable & no long wait on the NHS .Total time from first speaking to Mark was 10 days.
& best of all was the result, given to me there & then TOTALLY 100% CLEAR Yipee !
feel free to ask any questions .

Smile Results?

Given the cost of Private treatment that sounds very reasonable.I saw the bill for 40 minutes physio that was billed to my insurance at that was £110 and consisted of being given a series of exercises on an a4 sheet to practise at home!!

Good luck and when do you get the result?

Glad to hear that the test gave a neg. result. Are you still worried about not having a reason for your incidents though.
