PFO Closed (migraine-DCI-Link)
Just got back from the LGI (Leeds)
The op went well and a 8mm hole was plugged. The op took 1Hr and was done under general anethetic.
Had a leeking leg for 26hrs, but seems to be sorted now.

So big thank you to Dr John Gibbs and the team for the closure, and all the nurses for the aftercare.

I have to go see Dr Gibbs in 1 month and then 2 months after that. He is also going to make arrangements with Dr P. Wilmshurst for my bubble study. I would hope sometime in the next 2-3 months. No rushing now I'll just bide my time and let my body do it's stuff. I'm on asprin and another blood thinning pill for 3 months.
Looks like I will be black and blue for a while but will be worth it!

Quick update
Just got back from seeing Dr Wilmshurst and I am still passing bubbles.
It's 9 weeks since the op so we are going to give it another 6 months and try again.

1 bubble at rest and a lot after valsalva

I will be back in the water though shallow and rich mixes like before.

Well done, but shame it isn't fully sorted yet.

Good luck getting rich mixes in Cape Verde, the look I got when I spoke to one of the local divers on Santiago and mentioned Nitrox!!

I haven't forgotten your book, just been really busy! So it looks Saturday to get it in the post to you.

Son, you're going to have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming aircrew. You can't do both.

The aircraft limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular aircraft. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no limits.
