SAA Event - Decompression Illness Event 25th March

Im posting this on behalf of the Sub Aqua Association.

The SAA London Region have arranged a Decompression Illness Seminar, which is to be held in London on Sunday the 25th of March 2007. The details of how to book are given below together with the date, time, and venue.

Event Overview:

This is not a Decompression Seminar; it’s all about the illness. It’s a DCI SEMINAR with three real divers explaining the symptoms they felt on their special day and hyperbaric doctors putting the other side of the coin. It will include a section Diver Denial, Facts about PFOs and Lung Shunts (ie PFOs of the lungs), a MCA Coastguard input and an overview of the proposed CMAS/SAA DeeP-Stop Decompression Tables – first public airing!! The audience will be able to ask any questions they like.

This is a whole day event on the 25th of March 2007 at the London Welsh Centre, 157 - 163 Gray's Inn Road, London, WC1X 8UE. 08.45hr Registration - Programme starts prompt with registration at 08.45hrs – first speaker 09.15hrs.

Details:
Date: 25th March 2007.
Start Time: 08.45hrs registration for a 09.15hrs start
Finish Time: 16.30hrs
Lunch: A light lunch will be provided within the booking fee.
Price: £12.00 per person – payable by cheque in advance.
To Book: email info@londondivingchamber.co.uk to reserve booking.
However, the booking will only be accepted on receipt of the £12.00 fee.

Pedantic point....

Lung shunts are not "PFOs" of the lung; a PFO's site is shown by its name.
Bah humbug!
