HSE Medical increased costs
Went to see Maggie Clamp today.

Apparently from May, there will be VAT chargeable on HSE medicals, so if you need one doing it may be worth getting in before then.

Yep - fly out on Thursday morning.

Beginning to brick it a bit now to be honest. I've done well on all the mock exams, but nerves are definately starting.

Hopefully will be fun though.

It is still not clear exactly which medicals will need VAT added. We are all awaiting clarification. It will only affect doctors / partnerships where they earn over the VAT threshold from this type of work.
We are hopeful it will not affect Sport Diver medicals as there is an element of health advice / promotion because they are normally only done in divers with a health issue. The HSE one may attract VAT although there may be a difference between 1st and annual reviews.
When I hear more I will post to update you.
