But what did you scrape it against? If it was coral, then it could quite easily take a while to show up. Other half had a very rare buoyancy moment when taking a photgraph off north Sulawesi and touched a piece of coral with her wrist. It didn't come up until well after we got back to the UK.

Regards,

Mark

I don't know exactly what it was scraped against. Paul had a quick look and said it definitely wasn't fire coral but, beyond that, I've no idea. I also scraped the big toe on my right foot and that itched like a bugger for ages afterwards - in fact it still itches every now and then.

I fell over doing a shore entry in Vanuatu a few years back. Landed with my knee right on a table coral. You could see the pattern of the coral from the cuts in the skin. Diving for a week and getting it wet every day didn't help matters either. It still itched every now and then for months afterwards.

Bloody hell, my bottie's a lot more picturesque than that, even in its current lumpy state.

Funny you should mention Primark underwear. Paul has a holiday tale to tell about those, and their absorbant qualities......

The itchyness on my big toe was very odd - I had little red bumps but they looked as though they had tiny scratches on top of them. They seem to have gone now, although all this talk has made them itch again.

I shall get Turbie to examine my botty bumps this evening, to see if they resemble the toe ones.

A lady? who should not be in the water once jammed my hand into the coral when trying to save her from caving her head in on the reef (yes she was that bad) and on the trip home on the Plane my hand balloned up bright red and painfull this was a full week after kicking her off the boat.
it was very painfull for months after propper treatment so have it oggled by a Doc

I think you should get Paul to kindly take a cheeky little photo and you can email it to the doctors at London Diving Chamber - doctor@londondivingchamber.co.uk - they are very quick to respond to email questions.

And now wait for all the requests for you to put the picture on YD!
