Lol fair point ray, the "i don't like it here" feelings could have been brought on by sitting in the car park queue for a good hour or so to then be stuck in in the far corner of carpark 2 in the drizzle.

On a more serious note I agree with the majority of posts, narcosis tends to amplify what we're already feeling (similar to what alcohol can do). If your not comfortable with deep deep stuff any more do it less.

Enjoy your diving.

Every dive to the hydrobox is a different experience in some ways, the lighting level changes dramatically from day to day, the vis can vary wildly as well and then there is the cold and its deep by recreational standards. And a lot of people have had their own fair share of incidents down there including myself. But what makes a good diver is knowing your limits and especially KNOWING what depth your comfortable at else how could you perform a sucessful rescue calmly. Diving is very much a psychological sport at all levels, the only difficult bit is getting in the water.

I have had a colleague of mine has exactly the same feeling in stoney at the box. Maybe it the cold dark scarey feeling as 47M in Thomas Canyon in Sharm we were both very happy and having no problems.

Situation and How you are feeling in your mind will certainly have a lot to do with how your body reacts to the different situations, gradually go to the depths that you feel comfortable with and extend these slowly.
