| This question is frequently asked. First depends on the region where you diving, then it depends on the center itself. So the best option is to check with the dive center.

| I dived off Cabo de Gata which is in the same region (I think). The dive center in question did not ask for medical certificate. Yet don't take my word and ask in person to dive center you are thinking of using. I live near Galicia where one center doesn't require whikst another will totally refuse anyone without it. You will need insurance wherever you go in Spain.
