| I have had this in the past and it turned out to be the old ear wax thing. After a number of these events and a fair number of syringing sessions, the nurse eventually advised me not to get my ears wet. As I'm a diver I found this difficult to do. Two solutions, use the mask with the ear protectors - looks a bit daft. OR use what I use which is Doc Pro Plugs, vented and leashed. These can be got from Apnea.co.uk but to be truthful you need to get the correct size for your earlugs. I got mine from a musicians shop in Manchester where he took one look at my ears and said SM (small medium) now I just order them over the internet. I have been using these for 2 years now with no reoccurance. I can equalize underwater too with no problem. Hope this helps Lyv |

| Ear conning - the special candle / honeycomb things are available from high St chemists (i.e Boots) for a few quid. If you think you may have something actually wrong then don't feck about and go to your GP but if you think it's just wax then give the conning a go. |
