| Yes you can as narcosis the the narcotic effect of nitrogen which happens regardless of how you are put under pressure. If you get a chance do one of the hard hat and chamber dive events which get run on YD once a year or so and you will find out For theraputic recompression you are usually at 18m or less where the narcotic effect is really not that significant as far a i know.

| Oh, yes. We did a 50m (I think) dive in the pot at Appleton Roebuck and a couple of the guys were giggling like idiots. It's interesting to see how a nark effects others, not so easy underwater. MM

| You get narked on a "dry dive", but not when being actually recompressed for a bend. London Diving chamber took me to 18 metres on O2 with air breaks following my bend. what's more interesting is why you don't do the funky chicken with a PPO2 of 2.8 bar. The answer to that question, when I asked, was "knock your self out if you feel like having a fit, I'll just finish my pizza" |

| Yes you can. They had to turn the intercom off on our dry dive cos of all the singing, swearing and "pass me another delicate young boy to fan me. This one's split".

| yes, oh yes you can queue 8 cranfield uni students and one lecturer in the chamber at fort william, add 4atms of pressure= total giggling fit by people that have not ever been under pressure, and a total failure on the aptitude tests by at least 4 people. The video of us through the port hole was excellent

| Indeed you can - and it is more fun than a big box of badgers. Most first timers start pi$$ing themselves before narcosis actually sets in, because they are caught unawares by the high pitched voices turning up at around 20 meters ![]() |

| Oh yes indeedy!! At the last YD dry dive at Appleton Roebuck we had the sights and sounds of Madames Yazzy and Buoyant laughing shrieking and removing items of clothing whilst we were in the pot. Not long after that they pressurised it...
