| Very sorry to hear of your injury Nat, it just goes to show how fragile we are with regard to pressure changes and how little we really know. Our bodies have evolved to accept slow walks up and down mountains but not rapid descents/ascents in water. I hope you make a quick recovery with no lasting effects. Berko

| Sorry to hear about this, Nat. Glad to hear Oliver sorted you out. If he doesn't know how it happened, then i would be surprised if anyone else on here does. I have been very lucky (touch wood), since i have been diving, i haven't lost a dive at all through not being able to clear my ears. Hope you are able to get back in the water after your alyoff with no ill effects

| that's good going in a pool seriously, sorry to hear that. as a veteran of ear drum problems, you have my sympathies. at least it wasn't a perforation, so it shouldn't be long before you're back in the water. |

| Thank you for all your sympathy everyone, much appreciated in this time of feeling incredibly sorry for myself!! If you see someone at Wraysbury with a long face in a Dive Slut sweatshirt, that'll be me |

| Hi guys - just thought you'd all like a quick update on t'ear! It's feeling much better, and there's very little pain, although it's still difficult to clear and Dr Firth has told me not to even try and clear it for the moment. I've been quite naughty and have been going on the tube, but hey, it's faster and far less hassle than the damn bus!! 2 more weeks to go fingers crossed, but will be at Wraysbury this weekend gazing hungrily on by the side of the Rescue course that I should have been teaching!!! |
