| I've tried a lot of things and the only thing that vaguely worked was Kwells (or any of the others using the same ingredient). However, all the Kwells did was stop me throwing up - they didn't actually stop the seasickness feeling (which is the worst part of seasickness), plus I get a really, really dry mouth. However, they can on occasion give you a nice floaty feeling I'm torn this season whether to just drink water and be sick, or whether to try the scopamine patches. I might give stugeron another go, because I think it was possible I wasn;t dosing myself up enough. Things I've tried: Ginger biscuits Ginger tablets Peppermint tablets Stugeron SeaLegs Joyrides/Kwells/Boots own

| I find Stugeron works for me. You can also try sucking on a slice of Lime or Lemon which also works. Don't ask me why! I usually feel a bit ropy on the first day or two of a liveaboard. Usually first thing in the morning when they are trying to get you out of bed for the pre breakfast dive! Jim

| Bonine are bloody marvellous. I can't even look at the sea without being seasick and these do the job in all conditions. Difficult to get over here in the UK though so backup pills are stugeron 15's. PS I've just worked out why these are so much more effective than sea legs (which contain the same active ingredient)....because they are double the strength. 25mg as opposed to 12.5mg. So take four sea legs, that should do the job.

| Seasickness I get seasick all the time just put me on any boat, rough sea.. I am sick. I have tried Kwells and sturgeron great if have lots of time take time before feeling sick. If there isn't any time they aren't much use. Travel bands that you get from boots are great as they work immediately. they need to put on properly though as they work by putting pressure on specific points on your wrists. Hope this helps, Fish. |

| I generally don't get sea sick, unless I'm below deck in rough seas trying to cook in a hot galley or something. However, I have it on good authority from a very experienced sailor (ooh err) that eating lots of Cream Crackers is a good way to avoid sea sickness; they soak up a lot of fluid in the stomach. On the down side you'll produce a lot of crumbs, and you may start to feel the need to drink a small lake. But Ive seen it work first hand. Strangely they become quite addictive, on a trip from Scotland to Portugal and back we got through about 20 odd packets. |

| ginger biscuits help, especially a whole packet it doesn't stop me being seasick but at least I enjoy the first part of the boat journey ensure you chew the biscuits thoroughly though or try chocolate, again won't stop the seasickness but tastes as nice throwing up as eating it on a serious side, you can listen to many stories as above but you need to find something that works for you, so start with a long list, I'm just resigned to not finding my remedy
