YD March Nike+ Challenge - 5km

This month the challenge is the best 5km time. I have already invited those who took part in Feb's challenge but if you would like to join in the fun and group motivation, then drop me a PM with either your Nike+ username or an email address to send the invite to. The usernames are case specific so be careful.

Even if you are not a fast runner, you will see over the month your time go down.

Good luck running.

Son, you're going to have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming aircrew. You can't do both.

The aircraft limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular aircraft. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no limits.

I'll see how I get on for the first couple of runs before shaming myself publicly

Quick question though - any recommendations for straps/mounts for the 3G nano? Do DSS do a low-profile, bungee one?

Lol... this running larks a bit tough at first (i've had a 1 year break ooops), you'll be laughing when you see my results.

How about a swimming challenge, maybe the nike+ thing would work in my trunks.

Bri

think my username might actually be brian@aquanauts.co.uk

...only until I have some to put up

Still need to sort out some trainers and then I'm off.

Complete numpty question time: how's the challenge stuff work? It's clear I need to do at least 5km (), but what if the run I do is further than that? (This may be a pointless question as I haven't tried to do 1km yet!)

The good thing about the Nike+ software on the iPod is that you set a distance and it tells you every 1km/1mile/10mins into a run so you know how far you have gone/got to go. Run for 2.5km out and then 2.5km back, voila, 5km

Hi,

Do these only work on Nanos? or will they work on the older 80gbs?

Cheers

Nannos only I think but any generation so you can get an older one off e-bay for a reasonable amount. I doubt they want to encourage you to take the hard drive based ones running, I think that's how I upset my old 20GB one.

Go on - get a nanno - you know you want to!
