Red face Military/HSE Medical

I know the HSE Medical has been done before but i need a new slant on some info.
I've spoken to PV about her medical for teaching and comparing it to my Military Medical and it is the same, ECG, Chest X-ray,Blood, Harvard step Test etc. Also the HSE Dr in Poole told her that it's the same medical for both.

Now can i still use my current in date medical or do i have to have a new one for insurance?.

Any help gratefully received.

Diving is very much like making love to a beautiful woman, first you do some checks of the site for favorable conditions, then you go down for as long as you can,and if part of your buddy brief you maybe able touch the bottom, then you start to make your way to the end you come up breathless smiling and your cylinders empty.

Your Current medical if it's a HSE one should be fine. you could call the Madeira Road surgery in Parkstone and ask one of the GP's there for clarity.

Dr Des McCann is the main HSE man there. I get my medicals there each year for working at the chamber in Poole.

As far as I know a HSE diving medical is the same for everyone. The doctor can put restrictions on it if there are any fitness/ fatness issues.

Medical

Dave,

Sorry, similar medical but no read across.

As I understand it a HSE medical has to be done by a HSE registered diving doc who has done a course in hyperbaric medicine, whereas the mil sport diving medical can be done by any service MO. Any service person teaching commercially in their own time has to do both the mil and HSE medicals, the latter at their own expense.

sorry mate, but the step test etc will do you good to burn off all those pies from the pier now you is a civvy
