Just spoken to Garf this evening and he will be finally checking his email to accept the invitations from LoS.
Did my first run yesterday, first time since 9 Oct and managed 2.9mi without stopping. Woo Hoo.
However, Nike+ is not playing and hasn't recognised the run though![]()

I think I have lost my iPod and am not sure if the transmitter has any battery power! Real life is just like diving.

Great incentive to get fit, hadn't heard of this Nike+ business before, it's a great idea.
So far we have:
1.) 2009 Mega Miles
2.) Fastest 10k (January 01 to June 30th)
3.) First person to 40miles (January)
Maybe we should add some more short term ones though, so that we don't all fade out after month one? it'll give us something to set our sights on that isn't a 6 or 12 month away - keep us marching on... or running rather.

- Fastest 10k
- Monthly Mega Miles
And this way if anyone has a bad month they can start fresh the following month without feeling set back, and can still be in the race?.

Did my first proper walk/run for several years yesterday, nancy stuff on the treadmill at the gym. Used one of the Nike+ 10k training workouts on the nano and dropped out at the first 20 drop out point. Managed 2.7k and was knackered. I had pushed hard on a bike for 20 minutes first though. Onwards and upwards.
Digger, get your running shoes on, it looks like you and me for the tortoise trophy.
