I have successfully sorted my neck rash. The other problem I encounter when I dive is that I almost always get lobstered. Sun and wind burn combined. Giving me highly red face, neck and ears. Now my good lady tuts and scalds me for being reckless: but I am reluctant to use a suncream because of the slimey mask and face scenario.

Does anyone use a sunblock or something that doesn't make a horrid mess on the second dive?

I have used Cliniderm Sunblock for several years now. It will easily last you 8 hours even after diving while the suncream gets into your skin and works from within.
Down in Sharm I'd get one application of 16 in the morning and at the end of the holiday Kate was complaining about me not getting a tan...

It costs a bit more than normal sunscreen but why not more people use it I really don't understand.

Edit: Not sure if you can get it in the UK. I checked up on the product and can't find it on the web at least. Only found some Canadian company and I don't think that's it.
Reading up on it what you want is a cream with liposomes since that gets under your skin and works chemically rather than as a physical barrier.

I always used to use Avon waterproof sunscreen. I think it was about ý5 a pop and wouldn't get all greasy, which was nice.

And, as luck would have it, my old diving instructor was an avon lady too.

P 20 - put it on once and thats it all day. Very expensive, if someone is going on holiday it is cheaper in duty free.

been using it for years & have a bottle in the back of the car "just in case"!

I can discolour clothes pretty badly & need to be on for an hour before you go out in the sun.

It's not very good for people with sensitive skin though.......
But I love it! & still get a suntan!
