    I'd work on 200kg, that gives a nice 10%-ish safety for deformation, etc.

    Looking at the pic in the link, gives what, 3.5m long, average dia 18"? Allowing for the hole, I'd estimate somewhere around 0.3m^3

    Density of bronze is somewhere around 8500kg / m^3

    So, 2500kg

    Meaning some 12-13 barrels, plus extra to cope with the structure holding them together and the lifting tackle.

    Getting it to the surface will only be the start of it

    Plus don't forget to allow a bit of "sticktion" (depending on the seabed type) and the concretion that will have occurred over the years.
