Question PPo2 Gauge Drager Dolphin

As you have proberly read allready I am new commer to the rebreather world, and have only just completed a scr course on a Drager Dolphin (entry level I know but we all have to start somewere), However I would like to pick all of your brains about the Oxygauge. The unit I bought second hand did not come with one however what I want to know what is the cheapest & most efective way of adding one.

Many Thanks
Rgds
Dave

The Oxygauge is OK but it's a bit overpriced for what it is. Plus it's not particularly reliable.

These guys (Tecme) do custom built O2 sensors which either fit on the breathing hose or into the pop-port like the Oxygauge does. The benefit, though, is that they are triple O2 sensors - so you can have two off to two independent handsets, and then one feeding a VR2/VR3

Narked at 90

You could also try John at Narked at 90, I've seen his twin cell one and it looks British-big and sturdy.

I use the oxygauge on my Dolph, no problems so far. Have a look at my Dolph diving site and drop me a line for a chat and a dive sometime. I'm running a trip in May to Plymouth if you are up for it, details on the site.

OXY2 / Tecme

I really like to know what my PPO2 is. I looked for a while at the Oxygauge, both reports and sales on ebay. In the end bought a Tecme single display. This was about half the price of the Oxygauge. Not quite as neat though.

I also have an Oxy2 and use this with an Aladin O2 X computer. This is wireless, uses two O2 cells and continually computes your deco calcs as the PPO2 varies. Other than the requirement to put a spacer (Tecme again) on the exp. hose this is a excellent, but expensive, solution but I think worth the difference compared to the Oxygauge. Remember ebay will frequently get you what you want if you are willing to wait for it to come up.

Neil

This is one of John's triple holders which I have connected to a Kiss triple display. You could go for the twin version and source a couple of displays. The holder pushes into a P port and seals with two Orings. The other item you see is a guard to protect the cells from the c/lung and moisture.

I have a triple display up for sale, it was one of John's ones, slightly earlier model. It fits into a p-port and has 3 cells and 3 displays. Personally I'm not comfortable with a single display, 2 is good, 3 is better IMO.

The p-port end is basically the same as Zepps photo, but with a handset machined from aluminium with the battery and board inside.

PM me if it's any use and you want to make an offer. I'd say it's probably the cheapest way of having more than one display, and there's not a lot of these on the second hand market.

Digs.

Thumbs up these are the displays digger talking about

hi all these are the displays digger is talking about, it is a triple displays with back light that you can turn on and off underwater the case is ambiant pressure so is not affected by depth but how deep do you want to go? i think digger has taken this set to 90m ish i think but the case is over engineered so should be good for a lot more:-)
kindest regards john routley
