Well ok, not many. It extends your gas. In short you get all the hassle and none of the advantage.

What about the warm moist gas in the loop? There must be many other advantages? |

| Two members of this parish both had one and now dive eccr, this happened after only a couple of months of being scr.If you intend not to dive below 40m its a goodish option, but remember you will have to pay to do another course if you go ccr. hth cheers Mark

If you are choosing the unit and intend to stay with it then all well and good, but if you are thinking about it as a step to CCR, then my advice is to skip the step and avoid the hassle of learning (and paying for) one system, then moving to another. You could pick up a 2nd hand classic inspo for the same cost.

| I had a Dolphin. Great little unit. Converted it to mCCR for a while. Now on an YBOD. It does not take as long to prep as my Inspo. Maintenace was simpler. But.. you do have to decide on your dive/depth before leaving for the dive site to ensure you have the correct mix. Cheaper to maintain. Course cost approx 1/2 the cost of a MOD1 CCR. A lot cheaper to buy than a 2nd hand classic PAUL

| I had a dolphin for two years and enjoyed diving it, but converted it to mccr via the kiss meathod, and did'nt look back. Six months later i went and bought a kiss. Two years later I now dive an insiration vision. so what I am trying to say is, dive one, and you could easily hooked into the dark side J.L. |
