    Out of interest, has any thought been given to what we do with all the boards and irons after this event? They won't be fit for anything else and they'll make an awful lot of landfill. Are the guys at NDAC able to recycle them appropriately or are we all expected to take them home and 'do the right thing'?

    Yep

    Spoken to my local scrap metal dealers and they would be delighted to buy them off us, therefore raising yet more money for the RNLI.

    I don't know how many boards we will be able to get in Secondopsmans van, but I doubt we'll get them all in, so if a few other van drivers coudld do the same, we could clear the lot out and raise a few more £

    The current record of 72 isn't listed in Guinness, it's recorded by Extreme Ironing.

    I think Air Guzzler has been corresponding with Guinness for months with no reply.
