Knowing what a geek Chris is, I am sure he will have thought of that though

You're quite right - I was planning to test Wraysbury with strobe and ambient light.

Actually, my dear, it will be 3 cameras as I'm also bringing my housed G9 with a couple of UK Light Cannons to see if it will take acceptable video. I can also use it to see if ambient light and a compact will work.

I feel at least 2 dives coming on...

We also need to see what it looks like if the silt is kicked up a bit. Gloc, are you free on Wednesday?

BB and I are staying in Parkfield on both Friday and Saturday nights. I expect to be wandering aimlessly dazed and confused on Friday afternoon at NDAC and BB and I might get a dive in on Sunday, or we might just spend the day shellshocked.

The Huntsman is pretty good, and there is the Chepstow Hotel. There are some other places on the NDAC website (Under 'links' I think) (I'll find the link and include it in the first post)

Somethign to bear in mind of you are in teh Travelodge on the other side of the bridge is that you have to pay to get in to Wales. They let you out free, so long as you've promised to leave the sheep behind though

    Silly question time.

    What time is gates open?

Do people queue outside on the road before gates open (Stoney style?)

Are there enough car parking spaces for everyone, decent spaces where we're not humping kit up and down dale?

The gates will open at 8.30 (I think, although we might see if we can have them open earlier)

As there is only one car park, there is no need for everyone to try to be first in the queue to get the spaces by the water. It is a huge, flat carpark.

There shouldn't be any issue with parking spaces, so long as people are sensible about how they park.

Please ensure that you get one or two pics of me looking fabulous. Apparently I do now that I have been included in some of the 'secrets to looking fabulous underwater'

Is anyone else coming to join us?

DOes anyone have any experience of the other places on the links (specifically the Caer Llan)?

I live a couple of miles from the Caer Llan. Very pretty rural setting west facing over the Vale of Usk. Its well used by visiting tourist students on field trips. There's a bar and full board meals it you want. A drink at a local pub involves a drive to either Trellech (The Lion Inn), Llanishen (The Carpenters Arms) or Penallt (The Bush Inn). 30 minutes drive to NDAC.
