A BIG YD Thank You to Scubee & GLOC!

I'm starting this thread now because I think that some formal recognition needs to go out to these two for the work that they've put in for the Extreme Ironing Event on Saturday.

I've spoken a lot with Morag about this event and I'm helping her out on Saturday so she can focus on the diving that needs to be done rather than stress about you lot! I know the effort and work that have been put in, particulary from Morag, but am aware GLOC's been part of that too.

So I wanted to send a huge thanks to Morag and Gareth for this. It's been a monumental task and I wanted to have a public post to acknowledge their efforts BEFORE the event, whilst it's still in people's minds, cos after we'll probably forget about it!

P.S. I've singled out these two because I know of their involvement. IF there's someone else, please feel free to mention them on this thread! Because it's been a truly difficult thing to organise for all concerned!

I very strongly agree - it's clearly been an enormous amount of work. I'm conscious even from the odd queries and thoughts I've pinged their way these past few days, that they're probably being deluged with such stuff - and have been both patient and thoughtful in responding to everyone. The comms they've sent out are very impressive. Well done - and good luck for a safe and successful event

Oh and may I add NDAC and the staff there for this. They've also put in a lot of extra effort getting it set up, taking registration forms and payments, advertising etc. They deserve a mention as well!

IIRC it was actually Air Guzzler who started it and initiated photo/videography cover, so a big to him

I could do a huge long list of the people without whom it would not have been possible. Air Guzzler for one - it was his idea in the first place!

NDAC have put themselves well and truly behind the event.

And, of course, there are 150 divers who have made it possible.

Not at all! Regardless of whether the event goes ahead or not, and regardless of whether we break the record the work HAS been done by Morag and Gareth et al, so I'm thanking them for the work already done so far!

Clearly the voice of a solicitors speaking, eh, oh great pie one???
