And where you planning to dive and do you intend to dive all year round or just the Summer Months? What depth do you plan to go too? What qualifications do you hold? Rescue diver for example?

Single cylinder set up then.

dry suit
Bcd
mask.
Spare mask (optional)
Fins. (not optional unless you have webbed feet)
cylinder (My own as I know where its been)
Regs- (my own as i know where they have been)
Knife (line cutter small one sits on my BCD)
DSMB + reel
Weight Belt+ Weights (Various)
Ankle Weights (Floaty feet now fixed hopefully)
Bottom timer
Computer
Compass
TORCH! +Spare Torch.
Undersuit.
Big pair of socks
Gloves 5 MM Titanium lined.

Can't be a****D to list my Double setup as I've not dived them in anger so someone else can detail what they use.

Biggest hint I can give you is to go minimalist.. If the weather is cr*p do not take your camera a you won't need it..

Get another reel and DSMB

No kidding you need a back up for this very important bit of kit even if it’s a DSMB with 10m of line attached and a weight on the end. Loosing your SMB and reel is very common and you should be in a position to deal with it. Using a mini C02 cylinder back up blob is a very good idea. As its only for emergencies you don’t spend a load of dash on C02 cylinders but being stressed after loosing your first blob you want a simple way to deploy your back up. If you are ascending and doing this shallow then normal reg/ mouth filing can be difficult at first.

Get the best torch you can afford and a Mini Q40 or better as a back up torch. Do not dive without a back up torch they save dives and save lives.
I have my one on my mask, as I might need both hands in a given situation and its handy to not have to hold the torch.

I would recommend a strobe for lost at sea use and a minimum of two cutting tools. I also recommend a spare mask as salt water stings like bugger after a while and being able to read your computer is usually essential. I can do it in fresh but not in salt water.

Sea sick pills

Apart form that your inland dive site kit should do fine.

Wink

A drinking container/bottle! You must ensure you are well hydrated. Sitting around in a drysuit in summer before your dive and you will dehydrate. Drink lots of fluid. If worried about bladder control either a nappy( I kid you not) or a P valve!
