| I would have thought that the important thing to consider is whether it will all fit in the boot. I reckon that when I buy a new car, I'll just turn up to view it with my dive gear, and have a go at loading it all in.

| We worked this out on Sunday on the drive back from NDAC. With twins, a stage, SS BP, all ancillary kit and full gas it worked out at around 65Kgs. HTH

| My twins on BP and wing, full of gas but no regs clocked in at about 45kg on our pump truck here Add lead & regs for another 20kg, The rest is then packable for hols, so say 20kg for that too. Round it up and allow for 100kg But just take the tanks with you as you will find their length limits the way you can pack and a car you can lie them in front to rear, rather than side to side is far better!

| when you've worked it all out.. add 50% for all the other clutter... and then double it and add the weight of your buddy. You will then have a realistic weight! But boot size is more important. I used to have an old mini. got all my kit in it..but a bit cramped. Also managed to get my kit on the motorbike (excluding cylinder) and blasted down to Brixham for a dive with Kit Bitch. He lent me a cylinder, left my leathers and helmet in his car when diving. What I'm getting at is you do not need a BIG car, but one which will swallow the dive kit, clothes, chocolate, make-up, chocolate, Red Bull, and some chocolate! Just make sure you get a speed limiter!
