Reading this thread all the way through, I think it is a shame that what started as a friendly discussion has resulted in a new member getting banned.

He overreacted that is plain to see, but the baiting was there. YD does have it's own group sense of humour, and new members perhaps need a little more help, rather than being called a mug, which to someone unfamiliar with YD, may seem like an insult.

Should I be worried that I seem to keep agreeing with Andy

I feel sorry for Usurper for getting himself banned for one minor indiscretion, for which I think he was provoked.

I hadn't been keeping upto date with this since I suggested he visit a dive shop on Anglesey which he did.

And as for some people posting what they did then they were out of order. Sometimes this is the trouble with YD everyone, yes including me have strong opinions but pressing them on others just isn't on.

I was the one that started the original problem I suspect, I suggested initially that he bought a dry suit, he the said he didn't want one. I then tried lightheartedly to suggest that he look for a second hand one so he didn't loose any money, someone else lost it instead.

I haven't followed this thread as I got to go diving , however if he took offence at what I said then he wasn't ever going to last long on here. We tend to be a fairly sarcastic bunch, look at the abuse thrown around amongst the regular posters.

I see it that he was offered useful advice, said he didn't want it and was then offered more useful advice relevant to what he actually wanted. He took umbrigde at the way this was put over, no loss to the board is my opinion.
