| I'd say check out divers warehouse, they have massive stocks of apeks regs and do a lot of package deals. Have a look |
| ||||
| not sure about the apeks, but we bought loads of gear from robin hood... the service was incredible and after service even better...

| I know Brett at Divelife's got the XTX range in, and was doing some deals on packages. Best to give him a bell and he can probably sort it out. Remember that quite often you will get what you pay for. I'd also check on delivery costs from some of the better known internet retailers, as they're often a good way of being the cheapest on paper but actually charging more. Digs. |

| deep blue dive are well priced and have delivered to me in super quick time. denney diving and divers warehouse I'd recommend too. HTH

| Atlantis [atlantis.gmbh@t-online.de]. Mike at Atlantis was doing some amazing deal on ATX100's earlier this year. I paid €306 (about £205) delivered. He may be worth a try - low prices may have been down to the XTX's being on the way

| I would not bother with the 200 either. I bought a 100 and the 1st stage is a PITA for twins hose routing- the DS4 is much better. For singles, the DST is, IMHO, better too! So if I was going for a new reg I'd go for a DST/XTX50 with a 40 octo. No difference in performance to the 200 and you'll save yourself a few quid too. The reg will do everything you want of it and a bit more.

| Cheers guys i'll be mooching the web tonight at all of them. Woz i keep getting told the xtx50 is great, don't quite understand the DST and DS4 stuff though. The only reason i said XTX 200 is i read a great review of it in diver mag, It's shiny and its er shiny, people kept saying buy the best you can afford and for the bit that my life depends on i figured the expense is worth it. I am however prepared to bow to peoples experience etc the only thing that puts me off the 50 is that's what the club uses and i'd be afraid of mix ups and stuff.

| Dude, ditto what woz said. I have an atx 200 and i bought it cos it was shiny and top of the range at the time, later i bought a cheapo ds4 for my pony and i cant feel any difference. Same goes for the second stages, my tx 40 is better than my atx200 second stage because of the exhausts. The moral of this story is, dearer maybe shinier, but not always better. |

| Support your LDS If your local LDS offers a good service, but may be a little more expensive, would it not be better to buy there? Afterall, I have not heard of anyone selling gas online, so if your LDS goes, where are you going to get servicing and air? (BSAC clubs etc excluded).
