| had one a year now Hi guys, the atlas is a great little budget bcd, i got mine just over a year ago now and have done around 30 odd dives with it. Its a great piece of kit. Noticed a couple of people talking about the intergrated weights letting go. I've never had this problem (although i dont put all my weight in it). Looking at the pockets it is easy to put the weight pouches in the wrong way round so the large velcro pad doesn't get used, this could cause them to let go easier. A bit about the bcd. It is indead a clone of the northern diver bcd, the same in every way. There is also a bcd available in Oz with a different brand name (cant remember it soz) which is the same again. Mine has seen a fair amount of diving, including, rib shore and quarry stuff, been bundled about in bags, stuffed in the boot etc and is showing hardly any wear, the fabric and stitching is in great nick too. A brilliant little bcd for the price and im hoping at this rate that i could get at least 5 years out of it. I'd say get one, buy it, its a great piece of kit and hasn't let me down once (yet). |
