Have I Done The Right Thing!?!

Just purchased my first bits of kit (after mask etc)

Apeks ATX40+ATX40 Octo+2 gauge console,
Custom Divers Pocket Reel,
Buddy smb red selfseal and
BCD Hose.

Does this sound like a good setup?
Next month a wind setup for a 15L single-prob a DR Transpac and Trek Wing.

yep - great choices

only possible problem is that your BC hose may not fit (at the connector end) the BC/wing inflator you are about to buy - however if you ever borrow someone elses BC then it will be handy, and if you get a DiveRite wing set they will probably come with a hose anyway

Cool. At the mo I'm using a mixture of club Bc's ( Buddy and Scubapro) so hopefully the hose will fit them ok. Is it easy enough to attatch the hose to 1st stage?

Dead easy to attach, but be careful, the first time I set one up I tightened it up too tight and sheaped the thread bit off, ham fisted sparky that I am (was). Just nip it up, your only tightening down on the o-ring.

Good Luck

All good kit , bcd hoses can differ thats why they normally come with a new bcd .
Yours may fit but may not work properly, and then again may be fine just try and see

Buddy BCs usually have different hose fittings - you'll probably find the hose you bought will fit the Scubapro BCs but not the Buddys. It's likely to fit the wing you eventually buy though.

Good choices. Ideal first bits of kit.
