Aric, we have some masks on special at the moment at 19.99. Good mask, will fit just about any face.

If you want to consider a wing and backplate, then feel free to give us a call and discuss the options.

Cheers

Do not buy your first mask on the internet or at Decathalon. Go in to a proper dive shop and try lots on, make sure it fits. An incorrectly fitting mask will spoil your training and your enjoyment.

definately a good idea dont want water pouring in would ruin the dive and make for a depressing experience - do you think is ok to get fins off the net?

at your dive shop you will be able to try lots on and see which one you prefer, hold the mask to your face making sure you hair is out of the way, inhale and stop you should get a good seal with one which fits.

Fins should be OK from the net but if you are going to the dive shop try some on there first.

My advice would be get some open water fins and some wetsuit boots you can use them in the pool and then then can be used in open water. Pool / slipper fins are OK in the pool but useless for anything else.

Firstly decathlon staff don't have enough knowledge - sorry if you work there

Secondly they don't have the selection a proper dive shop does.

They might not have a huge range but I have bought a couple of seac sub extreme masks and Quattro fins(this was in Spain ) and the masks are ok for me low volume etc. Agree that a dive shop would be more helpful though.
