womens BCDs

i am just starting to put together my own kit. i have my drysuit (mostly diving in UK) and next is my BCD. i have seen womens BCDs advertised- has anybody got one and how do they differ? i have been using a mans Cressi medium sized one from my dive club and that seems fine, apart from the cumberband only just reaching! big tum! the waist clasp fits ok though. thanks

I use a Cressi Aqualight which is mainly a mans one and fits OK. It doesn't fit any differently (except it is a bit bigger) than my Lady Dragonfly. I think the main differenc tends to be wear they put the chest strap, if they put one on at all. otherwise our chest hill get squished in the wrong direction. Someone on here had a Diva for sale a few days ago. Reputed to be a very good ladies BCD

I think that the main difference is the way the BCD is cut so that it accommodates boobs. The biggest difference I found was the lift capacity. I bought my gear when I started work as a DM and one of the other female DM's bought a Mares women's BCD. She found it really comfortable for everyday diving but ultimately ditched it because it didn't give her that much lift for when she was working.

My wife uses a Diva and loves it. It is cut differently at the front and side to accomodate the "chest hill" as Scubee to nicely calls it.

my wife and buddy has a diva and love it, as some are saying it is cut in the right places, plenty fo the waist band for those blotted days
a sort of wing and has extra pockets by he tank to add trim weights if you like. good luck in your search, just get out and try them all thats the best way
safe diving
