Makes sense, but is a Glide 2000 bcd okay for side mounting?

It's got 2 D rings on each side, a s/s one below the pocket by the hip and a smaller plastic one above the pocket where the shoulder strap clips together, (I rarely, use the pockets, they're a b*****d to get in!).

if you own the 15ltr and the 10ltr then you could possibly use the 15 ltr on your bc and front sling the 10 ltr,if fitted tight into your waist area it is v.comfortable.
As before, what's the best way of slinging it and is it possible with my bcd?

<font color='#0000FF'>martyn,
you can make or buy a webing cylinder sling rig and then find 2 d-rings to connect it to.
most bc's have spare d-rings around the cumerband area and if not just buy 2 billie rings and stick em on yourself.
clip the 10 ltr on your front just before you go-in and pass it onto the boat at the end of the dive, you will not even notice it during the dive.
you would have to make some allowance re your necessary weight.
if you already have the cylinders and 2 sets of regs give it a try and see what you think.
bty side slings are better when you have a couple to sling....balance etc.
cheers
barrie

for deeper longer dives last year i used a 15 and a 5 as a pony slung on my front, given how little i am it was rather cumbersome and i was loads happier when i started using the twin 10s. The only advantage was that Nick would take the 5 off me in the water and pass it up to the boat so i only had to climb the ladder with one tank on.

one of my other buds has a bad back so he has a 12lt on his back and slings a 300bar 3lt across his stomac but attaches one end to a bottom d ring and the other end on an a ajustable pinch clip attached to the other botom d ring, this way he can stand up without the extra weight on his back then clip it on after and with the adjustable end he can get though small holes by passing the 3lt though first and knowing it is still attached &nbsp;when he get through the other side...i know this will start some one off!!
