| The OP did ask for other options too, though. So, much as you may love what she was first offered, and your opinion on those are far more valid than us who have never owned one, it is not the only valid answer to the OP.

| Before I get my head bitten off, I am in a large club with a 45% female membership and a pretty steady turnover. That means I get to size up a lot of women (I know, but somebody has to do it ).Here's a few names to try. Mares Kaila BCD Seaquest Diva Aqualung Eva (Often under Seaquest) Oceanic Hera Tusa Selene Zeagle Lazer zeagle uk, your online resource for Zeagle Products in Europe If wings are out then the Seaquest/Aqualung seems to be the most popular, either in Diva or Eva guises. Worth looking at that Zeagle though. No good for twins, but a very well made half-way house. Might want to take a gander at this as well. Quality Diving Equipment by Custom Divers - SPORTSTER WING SYSTEM Again not a full blown wing as such, but a lightweight all-in one effort. HTH PS: A lot or women struggle with Buddy BC's because they use the wrong one, The Commando is higher in the body and in many cases (obviously not all) the shorter in the body Explorer, is a much better bet. Still, the advice to "go and try it yourself" I think is valid whatever! As i said, i tried a ladies one (can't remember which) when i did my first shopping for BC's trip and it was just too short for me, so they don't fit every woman automatically, but may fit some women better.

| I was umming and arring over getting a ladies BCD for ages.. I tried on so many .. I liked the Cressi-Sub Aero Queen and the Diva LX, I loved the Aqua Lung Pearl i3 but I was told its pretty expensive to service. Well anyway I ended up choosing a tekwing .. I tried one in the pool and it was so comfy to wear .. I can't wait to get it.. should hopefully have it by the weekend |

| Ok so maybe I am adding my voice to quite a few others, but I have had a Seaquest Diva LX for nearly six years and love it. It is shorter in the body which suits women, padded in the back for comfort, and as you mentioned, styled in a way that your assets will not get crushed into oblivion when it is fully inflated. On a vanity level, mine looked pristine for more than five years. It has only been in the last year that it has started to fade and a few little bits have started to wear. Bearing in mind that for the last four years it has seen some pretty heavy duty action, with the last three years spend guiding and teaching daily here in the unforgiving sun of Sharm. Hope that reassures you on your investment. The other advantage that it has over a wing harness is that it has built in pockets for carrying those odds and sods that you might need on your dive. And with it being a semi-wing, you get the advantages without finding it quite so uncomfortable on the surface. If you are even considering going down the tec route though, a wing would be your better choice. |
