Not for much longer.

The groove on the nipple is in a different position on the AP inflator.
While a non-AP will fit at first, gradual wear and tear will start to affect it.

You can test this by pushing hose against body of the inflator and pressing
inflate. If worn you should get a dramatic increase in the flow rate.

i think we're all referring to the first stage end of the hose rather than the bit that attaches to the inflator, unless i have missed something.

Fortunately the ap valves hose end (the bit that screws into the first stage) is universal and you can cut any lp hose to the desired length and finish it off with the ap fitting. I think the fittings are available on their own so you don't need to buy the whole ap hose.
You can use a standard international hose on an AP inflator but the other way round is a bit hit and miss.

You have (missed something).

It's the inflator end that's the problem.

Basicly if its a buddy BC ONLY use a Buddy hose.
If it's anything else DONT use a buddy hose.

Do that and you cant go wrong.

no sir, it is you that has missed something

the brilliance of the buddy hoses is that you can take off the fitting that connects the hose to the first stage and put it on another hose having made that hose the exact length that you require.

but yes, the inflator end would be a problem if you were just switching hoses.

Page 5 of the buddy autoair manual with exploded views, suggests you can disassemble/assemble both ends.
I would choose the "3/8 inch UNF" with 3 parts as opposed to the "Snap Connector" with 16 parts to play with however!

Yep. The hose that came with my tekwing was mahoosive. I removed the connector, cut it down and re-attached. However I am amazed it still works, this is because I have witnessed my own DIY skills..............
