Ive only had experience of Scubapro BC's, first one was a T Force which was great until the bladder tore. Scubapro replaced it free of charge with a T Black which has been fantastic. Only really use the BC when away abroad or if cruising up the west coast.
    Doing it anyway I can

    Mares - stand for diving

BCD do come in different weights, this one is quite light. I had a Mares BC for year's it was great.

Or a Indigo wing with a ali plate.

Heck if you want a Mares Icon (which is a great BCD), I'm about to sell mine!

I wouldn't recommend the Scubapro T-forceifyou are planning to use it with a 15 litre and pony.

Doesn't balance properly (but that could just be me setting it up badly) and the pockets are useless when wearing a drysuit as you can't get access to them. It'll be a decent BCD for warm water wetsuit diving though.

Wish i had waited and ordered a small wing (e.g Frog) or just bought a 2nd hand Commando to tide me over till i go onto a twin set.

Have a look at the Mares Vector Origin from Underwater World; excellent value at £119 for a no nonsense BC.

    Mares Vector Origin BCD

I bought one early last year and have taken it with me on a number of dive trips abroad. It is robust yet relatively light. The sizes are quite generous, a medium is more like a large.

I started with one of the original Mares Vector BCDs - it was great and I've still got it in the garage despite now diving a wing.
Thinking about it - I could probably let it go now so PM me if you're interested?
