Now that is the type of feedback we want.

Bren did the toughest job by creating a starting point. It is easier to edit than create I find.

Those are similar to what I had thought, although for us mods its sometimes easier to start sorting stuff into smaller, more focussed categories and then simply merge forums together. As MDemon has already said, give us just a little time to organsie it before spitting dummies out and taking teddies home.

It's crap, it was fine the way it was. I can understand the need to archive in a logical manner, but now it is just a joke.

Definitely not a whinge, as I appreicate how much time has gone into this. But you did ask for opinions, and mine is that I prefer it the way it was.

We had equipment (which covered pretty much everything) and "techtalk" for when people want to talk about the more advanced stuff.

If you really wanted to monkey it around you could split into three: "My first set of equipment, Equipment, and Techtalk" but apart from that I don't see the point.

I tend to use the New Posts function when I'm on regularly (as I am at the moment) and then browse through the forums if I've been away for a few days. I can't see myself doing the latter with the new format.

Simple answer. One main equipment section where everyone looks.
Questions get answered.
Write a script to look at keywords and hive them off into folders once a month (or once a week).
