Ron,

There should be a little box to click (select) next to the sign in details on the top right of the web page. to 'remember me' This puts a small file called a cooke on your computer, they're mostly harmless by the way.

Then the cooke lest the website know who you are everytime you log on.

also if you goto yorkshire-diver.co.uk (without the www.) then it will only load the index rather than your home page, if you select any of the nav links it puts the www. and recognises you are actually logged in.

Cookies generally come under 'privacy' rather than 'security', though it can be a grey area. Having restrictive cookie settings stops people tracking your browsing habits, i.e. like sainsbury track how many people buy cornflakes and mustard, but it can stop some sites working.
Notably, when you go to and from the gallery, if you don't accept third party cookies, you will need to log in twice.

Anyway, relating to the question, there have been some changes in the cookie code that takes you to and from the gallery, and I'm afraid this probably breaks the 'remember me'. This will be fixed asap.

Suddenly it's started to come okay, after having to log in nearly every other time for about two months.

I'm not sure why it started working for you yesterday, but I'm glad it did.

As of about 5 mins ago, you should keep your remember-me when going between the gallery and forum.

Alex
