Moving avatar

I got a little avatar that has motion in it and would like to use it on thsi website. When I save it though it saves as a still picture. What am I doing wrong? Anyone help?

When you say 'its saves as a still picture', have you resized it or something? It needs to be an animated gif to work.

Jay I have it on an email and the shark is circling. I right clicked on the image and clicked copy this let me put it into a new email. But when i clicked save picture to it saved only as a GIF. How do i save it as animated gif in order for me to use it as an avatar?

There are a few programs around like GifAnimator that'll make what you want. Alternatively, if you have Photoshop, it comes with ImageReady which will make animations very simply. Especially is all you want to do is show a number of frames in a loop. An advantage of using PS is that you can resize large images and lose very little detail. I made my avatar in this way.
