The "Ignore List".

Is the ignore list publicly available anywhere?

I am somewhere between "intrigued to know" and "paranoid that no one knows I am here anymore"! If nothing else it might save me some typing time by not replying to something where the intended recipient won't even know I exist.

I don't see that there are likely to be any rucks because the protagonists
.........erm.....antagonists.....erm ..... one of that lot will be ignoring the others anyway?

Seriously though, everyone can have their own ignore list, and no-one can tell who is on it (other then admins I would guess).

I would like to know who has me on their ignore list because ..... I'm nosey .... and then I could reciprocate and then have no reason to waste time typing replies to people who will never see them.

I know! I'll start a thread asking for everyone who has me on their ignore list to post their name .......

Is there an option to ignore a whole thread? I know I can unsubscribe from a thread BUT is there an option to ignore it so it doesn't appear when scrolling through diff sections of the forum.

that would be a useful addition wouldn't it....

I'm more likely to ignore a thread than a person. But I guess the list might be rather large across the whole user/thread list so perhaps it would be too much of a burden on the server?

Yes, I'm sure you are right and that would be a problem.

I only queried the option for other people as there are a number of times when people are posting and saying things like "this thread has gone far enough" or "is there any point to this thread any more?" then they could elect to ignore the thread and not see it anymore ......... I always thought that if only 2 people were interested (or bored enough at work to keep on posting then why call to shut a thread down?

Specifically, since I thought of the above question th e thread in question has been closed anyway. Obviously there are other concerns with controlling a forum but I have always found it curious when it happens?

Talking Server ignore ?

Could we not ask the sever to ignore posts or certain threads that are total b****cks so that it runs smoother for the rest of us ? can't think of anyone or their threads though can you ???

save time, just copy and paste the members list, ( except the ones that have not posted in the last 6 months, which should rule out about 3 thousand!!!!)
