links in threads

I have tried and look this up myself using FAQ and search features from top of page but to no avail. Can someone tell me how to:-

1. Put a link into a thread
2. Put a pic into the thread

To put a link in
1. type the description of the link ie "my website"
2. Highlight this and then click the icon that is the world with 2 chain links in front of it
3. In the box that appears type or paste the URL you want to link to
4 click ok!

To put a piccy in - you need the pic to be on a website.
Then either
1. Click the icon that is yellow with a mountain and a sun.
2. Put in the URL of the image you want to show (you can find this for a pic on the web by right-clicking ont he pic you want and then selecting "properties")
3. Click OK


Or...

if the pic is on tinypic or Photobucket etc, just copy the "image" info from the box beneath (this should have {image} {/image} tags but with square bracketsaround it) and then paste it into your message.

For pictures try TinyPic Video and Image Hosting
then copy and paste.

To insert a link you want to use (swap the curly brackets for square brackets)

{URL=http://www.yorkshire-divers.com}World's best dive fora{/URL}

Which becomes World's best dive fora

For images use {IMG}web address of image{/IMG}

As Lou said, most decent image hosters will have the links available for you.
