mid-week at stoney is usually much quieter than weekends.
gates open at 08.30am monday - friday, regardless of bank hoildays.
membership not necessary to dive but advisable if you plan to dive there frequently as money can be saved !!!!
from merseyside i am not sure how long it would take you but probably in the region of 2 hours ?
the M69 is the motorway nearest stoney so maybe you could view a map.
hope this info is usefull !!!

Hi OG

You could go down the M6. As I live in Yorkshire I tend to wander down the M1 though, but the traffic should be a little lighter your side.

If you get there tomorrow come and say hello, I'll be the dude in the Black Passat working out how to put my kit together

Be prepared for some cack viz off the ledge round the Wessex and Sterngath. Viz on the right hand side (as look out over the quarry - Cessna area) was much better.

Hi Darren

Thanks for the heads up. Will probably do my first dive round the nursery area as I'm just doing some drills with Noel, then the 2nd off over by the Cesna, cheers mate.

get to stoke,(A41 to chester ,A51 to Nantwich and then A500 to Stoke) follow the A50 across country to the M1 head south get off at Lutterworth junction (20 I think), rest of directions are on stoney website.

expect 2hrs on a good day to 3hrs on a bad day. This is based on travelling form Chester when I lived there.

You may be better coming off the M1 at J21 and heading along the M69, exiting at the first junction, left at roundabout, in to Sapcote, left at crossroads with supermarket on it to the end. You can then see the railings to the Cove in front of you.

Hope you find it.
