threads/ posts don't show

so I've figured out to look at the threads I've commented on I go to quick links and click on subscribed threads!!!

so why are they sometimes not included here and what do I need to do to make them appear????

They only appear there when there are unread posts. If they aren't there, then it is more than likely that no-one has posted to them since you last looked.

Yep Scubee's right

Though if you wanted them o show because you want to go back on one or two to re-read them, then just add to your browser's bookmarks/favourites list.

I do this sometimes when I haven't gotten the chance to read all the thread or I wanted to go back for some information.

If all your subscribed threads showed, then as an active member, you would find the list visible grew waaay out of hand quickly.

If you subscribed to a post 'today' (or not) - go to the 'New Posts' drop down menu, and click on 'Today's Posts'.

but there are a few that I have contributed to and they go on to the next day but they still don't go onto my subscribed threads!!!!!!

Unless something is broke, it works like this...

- You read a thread you can contribute to, and you post to it.

- If your settings are set right, the thread is automatically added to your subscriptions, if not you need to use the "Thread Tools" and add to your subscriptions.

- At this point, it doesn't actually show in your "User Control Panel".

- I come along to the thread next (like I am doing now on this one) and add another post.

- Since the thread has changed since your last visit to it, your subscription will now show in your User Control Panel (User CP).

- You click on the link in the CP and see that someone has added a post.

- Once you visited the thread from that update, the thread will not show anymore till someone else comes along and adds another new post.

The subscribed threads is only there to show threads that have been updated (added to) since you last clicked on the thread. If this is not happening, then something might not be set right, or someone else is using your computer and viewing YD.

If your computer has that page open all the time in the browser, you may confuse it. The page needs to be refreshed in the browser to show the updates.

It looks like you are off-line as I write his post, so when you come back on, you should be able to see the thread in your User CP when you go there. Providing of course that you don't go to this thread before visiting your User CP. If you do that then the User CP will not show it as it can tell you have visited the thread, so it doesn't need to tell you it has been updated.

I have been going in through a different route - quick links and subsribed threads, but there is one in particular that I followed mark2 into "picture of the day" although I have put a couple of comments in it doesn't show that I've subscribed - why?? why just one when others like this one seems to be ok???? the only way I can find to get back is via mark2's subscribed threads!!!!!!

there have been others too but because I have no way of finding them I soon forget what I've said!!
