Mask Discoloration

I have recently purchased a brand new, low volume mask.

To stop it looking like my old one, can anybody advise me how to stop it discoloring and retain its crystal clear appearance?

Bill

Q. Why did the razorbill raise her bill?

A. So the sea urchin could see her chin!

Rinse it well and keep it out of the sun Good advice for most things in life, really.

Don't use it in your pool - I'm sure the chlorine/ozone/domestos they use trashes dive kit.

if the silicone is kept stored near rubber it discolours, ie it catches black. keep it clean and in its box and it should look good for quite a while.

If you want to get it really clean put it in the dishwasher.

In other words...

Don't leave it lying in a kit bag wet a semi dry suit, neoprene gloves, hood or neoprene slap strap. Also don't keep the mask shoved down the foot of your rubber jet fins.

Or to simplify things, don't keep your mask in the sort of place that I do

I wouldn't have you seen the state of most glassware after so called "salt action" has finished with them!

Neat washing up liquid

Takes a few minutes but a liberal dose of this gently rubbed around the mask.
