| Westfield I recently looked at a few of the major insurers and chose Westfield for my wife and I - I think it was about £145 to 160 for the year, worldwide cover for diving and travel insurance included. About £90 for one person. Travelcard also gets a good rep here but was a bit more expensive. alex |

| Are you planning on diving in the UK or abroad? If it's here, I wouldn't have thought that you needed insurance, us having the NHS and all. Abroad is a different matter. Divemaster offer insurance. If you have stacks and stacks of kit that you're scared of losing, you can insure that too, though if you're like me and have filled the club kit hut with personal kit (being the kit officer, I can do that ), insuring it all costs a lot!Edit: just checked divemaster. £81.80 for a year for the IDEC card which covers accidents. You'll need separate insurance to cover your luggage/cancellations etc., though, IIRC |

| Dan Try https://www.daneurope.org/eng/english.htm then drop down 'DAN Membership' on the left and look at 'Insurance covers'. Basic membership is £48 and the coverage is great for that amount, and any profits go back into dive research and not some fat-cat's pocket.

| As Brick said, are you thinking you need insurance for UK diving, then the NHS picks up the bill. However you might need to inform people like your mortgage provider. |

Think of it like 3rd party car insurance. If you cause an accident that's your fault your insurance should cover most or all of the resulting cost for the injured party. If you left your club you should really get your own 3rd party insurance and should get full dive insurace (including repatriation) to dive abroad. cheers Nick |
