picture attachments

Hi,
How do get a picture into my thread, have been able to upload one from my pictures and have reduce it to the right size, it uploads but then i cant find were its uploaded to and how do i put it in the tread.

You really are best off using a host site like Photobucket or Tiny pics
Here is a good easy tiny pics link TinyPic Video and Photo Sharing (u dont have to register or anything)
I dont use this anymore as I have a photobucket account but if you click on the link above and then
Click browse and select your pic from your computer and then click open andit'll go in the 'browse' box.
Click upload then when its done you will see underneath the IMG link copy and paste this into the reply box on YD (just preview it as well to check its worked)

Jane, how do you reduce the size of the picky if it's too big?

I dont know about tiny pics because I dont use them but in photobucket you get a box underneath the 'browse' box that says 'uploading options' if you click this it will give you anything from an avatar size up to something thats is probably the size of your sitting room wall.
What you want for on here is what is usually called 'message board' size. Thats what I usually use mostly but occasionally I use the 15" screen size (the pic isnt 15") width ways it fits on most computer screens but will cut off a bit at the bottom.

Use a picture manipulation package like photoshop, paintshop pro or even one of the very basic ones to "resize image" for post ing on forums like this max size is about 700 pixels wide... if you resize then before putting them onto photobox they upload quicker and the quality is better

I'm gutted Howard. I give you all this help about how to get your pics on here (assumed you didnt have Photoshop or other similar prog BTW) and there you go swooning over a mere flapjack

There is a nifty dowload from windows which puts a picture resize option onto your menu when your viewing a picture through windows enables you to select what size picture you want
