Which holiday dive operators don't marshall the dives to some extent? It doesn't say you have to be accompanied by an instructor or guide, just that it has to be under their direction, so if they brief you on the site and give you bottom time, depths, etc, that's direction.

Mind you, not sure I was covered for my shore dives in Malta, unless I count as an accredited dive marshal.

Dunno. But knowing insurance companies they may try and wiggle out of it.

Personally I have the holiday insurance that comes free with my Alliance and Leicester bank account then bolt on an IDEC for £15 for when I'm away diving which covers me to the limit of my qualifications.

Thumbs up Direct Travel Insurance

We now insure with these people:

Underwritten by AXA, covers youa ccording to your quals - explicitly specifies BSAC DL as max depth of 50m

Just insure my son and his gf (both 18) for a 1wk trip to Turkey - total cost (inc Govt tax) of £12.75 (thats just over £6 each)!!! For some reason they class 18yr olds as children! 19yr olds would have cost £12 each
